The Programm: Discovering Fusion
Jazz Songs, Blues Arrangements and Rock Attitude is what defines the Greenwood Group. This young band is formed around guitarist Lorenz Grünewald who studied music at the Popacademie in Enschede (NL). Besides his engagements as a session player he now follows his true musical roots of Blues, Rock and Jazz with the Green- wood Group.
The program “Discovering Fusion” features tunes of such great musicians as Miles Davis, The Yellowjackets or Michael Landau.
“These things can’t be done in the Pop-Bands that I usually play in, but I felt that I had to play this music that I love. With the Group I can discover these roots in myself and develop my skills as an improviser. With Discovering Fusion, this music is recreated at every gig and thus is an experience for the audience as well as for ourselves”
